I live in washington state and am looking for a 1997-1998 dodge ram 2500 12 valve cummins, that is a 4x4, full size, quad cab, long bed and is also a manual. my preferred colors are black, white, gray and will accept some multi colored trucks. willing to travel to idaho, oregon and possibly california. If you have one your looking to sell, please post pictures along with description. Thank you.

If by quad cab you need 4 doors forget the '97. Their extended cab is a club cab, no doors. Even in '98 rear doors was an option.

Mostly I just want to have the space in back, I just don't want a single cab. I just want to be able to store stuff behind the seat. Thanks for the info though. And thanks for that link. I will give that a try as well.

And its even in Washington so merry Christmas. Jump on it quick, they dont last long. When the smog laws went into effect here the price of the 12 valves doubled, and they were selling within a day or two of the listing.

My buddy just bought one just like that. I has been bombed to 400+ HP 1050 TQ. Actually I'm looking for a similar truck but an auto and a short box for my brother. I need it to be in Western Canada tho. David

No EGR valve. (non California engine).

Being a manual, it would have been equipped with the 215 hp, 440 ft.-lbs. torque engine. Some consider this version of the P7100 fuel injection pump, the best of the 12 valve, second gen. era. The automatics and all California EGR equipped engines, whether automatic or manual, came with the 180 hp. 420 ft.-lbs torque engine.

I don't know if this one has had any mods or not, but it looks like a nice clean truck.

I looked for over 18 months for a (95-98, any color) standard cab(or ext. cab short bed), 4x4 stick or auto.& that wasn't raised, rusted out or rode hard & but away wet. Searched cragslist in all of CA, OR, ID, NM, AZ, TX & even western CO. I found 6, of which 2 needed to much work, 3 sold before I could even look at them(within 2 days). This last one which I bought but had to fly to Portland to even look at.

It took me well over a year to find mine. I was looking for a manual, but settled for an auto. Mine came up from Colorado, and I bought it sight unseen, other than internet pictures. I got lucky and the internet pictures matched the condition of the truck.

If I didn't have my 97 already, I'd jump all over this one.
