As the title says, I am in need of a new turbo on my truck, factory one that is. I am keeping this thing stock/nearly stock until 100K (70K to go on my 2003) so as to avoid becoming my own warranty station.
The turbo is leaking oil from around the center of the housing and dripping down off the return line.

Can anyone recomend a good dealer to work with? I am in the East Valley and REFUSE to go to Earnhardt's, as they've already lied to me about the turbo "might be able to be covered, since it's only just out of factory warranty. "

I plan to build a relationship with this dealer. The truck was bought at Ed Moses, but they're 60+ miles from me and that is a decent drive to go from my Mesa home to N. Scottsdale. But if they're the best, then I'll just burn a few dead dinos and get there :)

Thanks in advance.

Anywhere that there's a list of good dealers in different areas? Would be a nice thing to know when traveling, too. Still kinda new to TDR, but learning.

I have had good service at Avondale Dodge. They have done a good job so far. I live in north phoenix and don't like to drive so far either. I am not impressed with the dealers close to me. I had a bad experience with Earnhardt Dodge in Gilbert too, and refuse to deal with them ever again.

I'm getting mine redone at High tech turbo right know and it cost $325 plus shipping, seem like good guy's to deal with.

As I'm remaining stock, and it's under Cummins drivetrain warranty, I don't think I'll be going anywhere except dealers and auth'd centers (where they'll direct bill the manf'r) until I hit the magic mile mark :)
Thanks for the kudos to a local mod shop, though. As General Manager of a local shop, that type of advertising is priceless and I hope that they continue to provide you with excellent parts and service!

I have had very good results using Tempe Dodge. I am on my second Dodge Diesel from them and had them do all warranty and recall work on both trucks.

I got a PM or two from members and have taken their advice on a delaer. I'll not name the dealer until I see how the service goes.
I can say, though, that Bill Luke will not get a dime of my money or even a dime from DC to fix my truck. This is stemming from an almost buying experience over there, and then a discussion with their service advisors prior to purchase. You see, when I go to purchase a vehicle at a dealer, I interview folks for the job away from the salesman. I want to know if I feel comfy with the service dept, parts folks, etc. Bill Luke scored VERY low on my rating system and will never see my feet trodding across their parking lot again.
Heck, they tried to sell me a wrecked truck, over book mind you, that they advertised as pristine... and then wouldn't deal at all because of the damage I'd seen from 15 feet away(was rearended, not normal wear and tear dings and such).

Tempe Dodge is owned by the same folks that own Tempe Mitsubishi and the like... nope, they don't get any of my biz either. I don't like the upper management and therefore won't deal with them... where can you go when a service advisor ticks you off, and you've already had run ins with upper mgmt (corp level... way above the store folks)?

Same goes for Van Tyul stores... used to work for them. Reason enough.

Don't know about service but I bought 2 trucks from Bill Luke and I was happy with the deal. Saved me from driving all the way to Dave SMiths in Kellogg Id. I heard the dealer in Wickenburg is pretty good but that's probably to far for you.
