Looking for a Good Performance Shop, Recomendations?

Like the tread says, I am looking for recommendations on Performance Diesel shops. I live in Canton IL and would like to find a shop within reasonable driving distance. I would like to hear from actual customers of the shops. I need to have my twin setup and trans straitened out by a pro. Schied is an obvious choice, but I have not herd many good things about their service in Effinghan IL, maybe the one in Tere' Houte IN would be better. Let me know of any experiences with these type of shops. Oh by the way the truck is an 06 CR automatic Thanks.

What is reasonable driving distance?

I have used and still use "No Limit Diesel Performance" in Leland IL. Very small shop, that is run by three guys who work on all types of diesels trucks. Very will know in the northern part of the state.

never delt with them but northeast diesel in missouri has a very good reputation from what i have heard. anyone i know has dealt with there location in shelbina, mo. there web site has contact info on it. Northeast Diesel Northeast Diesel

i wish i could help more but my brother is a diesel mech so i dont deal with any shops.

See you have Scheids injectors, did you install or them?

What are you needing done to your truck? Kevin Glover is who you would need to talk to at Northeast Diesel in Shelbina, MO. Scheid Diesel in Effingham would be Rick or I think Brad Ingram is there also( I have had good luck with them as far as getting pumps and injectors, never had them work on a truck). There is also Randall's in I think Gladstone, IL, but I don't know anything about them. By the way I put the injectors in my brother's truck, seems like a nice upgrade but they have only been in a couple weeks.

Yes, they are very good on Cummins engines. They do not advertise, but rely on word of mouth for their business. They have worked on trucks from as far away as Ohio.



Give them a call and see if they can help you before you travel to Leland IL first. They will be up front and will tell you if they can help or not.

I had Twins form Source automotive + flux 2 inj installed By a shop in Decatur, Trans was built in Clinton, I think some "fine tuning/balancing/adjustments" would make things work a lot better. Honestly I think the Decatur guy got in over his head with my setup. He says things are right, but I and others (who should know)are not sure. I want someone to look things over, change a couple small things, adjust/tune the truck correctly.

Not mentioning names because I don't want to upset anyone.

I originally got my Bully Dog from Triangle Diesel Injection in Kankakee, IL phone is 800-937-4172. That was a few years ago, have not had any other dealings with them. But they do specialize in Fuel Injection and Turbo Sales and Service.
