Why is it called a Barring Tool? Possible answer?

As the title says, I'm looking for a specific type of stool for the shop, but not having much luck.

Some years ago, I remember one of the shops had a stool with both solid metal feet (I think four of them) and casters. The stool had springs so that the solid feet only touched the shop floor when you were sitting on it; otherwise the spring caused the feet to rise an inch or so off the floor so that only the casters remained in contact. So it would roll when you stood up but was solid when you sat down.

Having a heck of a time finding these, or even trying to remember what they called them.

Anybody else remember these and know where they can still be purchased?

Thanks in advance for any help.
