Just had a thought. I have been thinking of leveling my truck but have been hesitant to job on that right now. I am thinking of upping the front springs to the 047/046 as I have 046/039 combo right now.

I am looking to help suport the bumper and winch

Any one out there that has lifted their truck have an 047 spring off a newer truck laying around?

Thanks

Ted

Me2

I'm waiting for the weather to dry out a little and then it's off to the junk yard to do the same thing.

I also would be interested in someones take off if they have one lying around.

Ted - If it helps at all - They should be on 2500 QC with snow plow package and the 3500's.

BV I am hoping I can get my hands on a take off other wise I will get 2" skyjacker spring. I called Mopar for less this morning and a new 047 is $96. 09 which is more than the SJ spring. I am just trying;) to stop bombing but it does not seem to be working out.

I have a good memory

If I were you I would send a PM to Scott V. aka "BIGBADDODGE"

Scott had the pieces awhile ago.

I don't know Doc unless you can still read the tags or they are on a truck and you can find the build info on the truck.

Thanks Bob. I wish i had thought of doing this when Scott and i were living near each other.

Spring ID

Is the number the wire diameter of the spring??

Use pair of calipers to measure diameter of the spring wire.

Larger diameter heavier load capacity.

Just a thought,

Steve

Steve I am honestly not sure how the number are desided. The capacities of the springs are listed on Dodgeram.org.

# Cap Diameter

039 1688 . 820

046 1854 . 844

047 2036 . 880

I could not find any relation between number and any other specs.

I do see a 348 lb increase is capacity by moving my 046 to the passenger side and replacing the 039 with a 047 for the drivers side. That should accomplish what I am trying to.

Thank you every one for your input.
