Looking for Clear Side Marker Lights for Dually - Not LEDs

Hey Guys - I'm thinking about doing the clear marker light conversion, but I'm having trouble finding the clear side marker lights for the dually fenders with an incandescent bulb. I have found the LED variety, but that's not what I want.



Any ideas where I can the regular, bulb-type side marker lights with the clear lenses?

Probably hard to find since if you put a amber or red bulb in a clear lens, your still going to be able to see the bulb through it. Most want completely clear so LED is the only way to go.

I think I have found bulbs that have some sort of shield over them so they look clear when off but still glow amber when turned on. Haven't figured out exactly how they work yet, but I think that's the idea behind them. I might not be able to make that work with the side marker lights though.



If LEDs are the only ones that are out there, I just won't mess with the idea.

I've seen those bulbs, they have this rainbow haze coating (looks like oil in water) but only in amber, never red for the rear. Never seen them lit up though. Just wondering, why are you totally against the LED's?

LEDs usually look crappy unless it is pitch black out, and I don't like how all the light is concentrated right in the middle on the LED side marker lights. It makes the light look a lot smaller than it really is. They just don't show up as well as regular incandescent lights do.



Also, a lot of the red LED side marker lights that I have seen look more pink than red. The ones that I've seen just weren't that impressive.



Anyone else have any ideas?

Oh man Double H I got a ton of digging but there is new technology out there that is better than LED! I have the link somewhere but get this . . LED ... NEON. Perfectly even lighting and draws the same as leds.

LED's are very bright, but very dependent on direction, they have almost no dispersion. The LED's I like (and have on my trailer) have a high number of diode's. I don't care for the ones with only a few diodes.
