looking for fix to rocking drivers seat

remembered a while back their was a thread about the power seats that rock back on acceleration and forward when coming to a stop. found the thread but dont see anything about the fix . my 05 is doing it and its drives me crazy. went to dealer yesterday, they told me that this is normal and could make an appointment. just want a heads up before they tell me that this is normal wear and tear. also have the leather delaminating off the steering wheel , told me that they would have to take a pic. and send it to dc. to get authorization to get it replaced. this is true , dc changed their policy for certain warranty items. called another dealer after , same policy. any help would be appreciated.

i just picked my 06 mega up from the dealer wed and had the dr seat rails replaced because of rocking, and my steering wheel was replaced due to pitting on the top. sounds like you need a friend at the dealer.

Glad to hear I'm not alone... I mentioned this last year to the dealer and they too said it was "normal". I'm taking it back in...

Mine rocks a little, probably from all the torque:-laf I just live with it because it is out of warr.

I thought I was seeing things- my wheel seems to be coming apart too! The seat rocking was happening from the start, and is getting a little worse now. The front seat and slow heat are my only real complaints with the truck!

Lowering my seat just a tad seemed to stop the rocking problem. And Wal-Mart fixed the pitted steering wheel with a nice fat cover.

went to dealer on friday ,he took a pic of the steering wheel and told me that dc has a new policy on warranty coverage. they have to take pic. and send it to them to get warranty authorization. as far as the seat there is no known cure he told me , i asked him so how do we get this fixed , he told me its normal, happend on his 04, he just lived with it. he told me he will see what he can find. WE WILL SEE i told him considering that this is a lease. let you know how i make out.
