I need some help locating the Red / Orange (according to the Wiring diagram) wires / connector for the fog lamps. My new to me 2002 RAM 2500 5.9 didn't come with fog lamps, I installed a new headlight switch W / the fog lamp position, the relay in the PDC and install a set of LED fogs with Halo's I wired the Halo's to a circuit that is hot when the key is on and I thought the Red and Blue wire at the bottom / center of the radiator was the fog connection (I was wrong). So can anyone tell me where the fog lamp wire connection is? Hopefully I don't have to open up the PDC and make a connection there to the relay. Thanks for any help that can be provided

On my 01 when I added fog lights my connectors were already their inside front bumper

Yea, I had to remove the bumper to install the fog lights (had to cut the depth of plastic lamp hole) and I didn't see any fog light wiring harness connections. Maybe if I remove the left side battery I might see the connection attached to the light harness. Just looking for someone that knows where to look.
thanks

Blade, congratulations on your new truck. I'd like to share a few suggestions of things I did when I first got my 99:
1- joined TDR and created signature so I didn't have to tell everyone truck info everytime I posted.
2- acquired the FSM (factory service manual) for my truck. Geno's garage sells them
I feel your pain with not knowing where the connection for your fog lights are and if I didn't have to run out right now I'd check for you. On a hunch I'd look around the left (driver's) battery tray, low by radiator.

Sorry can't direct you to the elusive plug better. I'm sure someone will chime in with a picture or such that'll give location.

Thanks Joe Mc, I am a TDR member but I do need to update my signiture line. I also have the 3 volume FSM, that's how I know the wires are org /rd. But the wiring harness view has a "not shown" note on the fog lamp wires (section 8).

Bummer. If my truck wasn't 6 hours away in Virginia I'd post a picture for you. Perhaps someone else might do so...perhaps

OK, The Light Blue / Red/ Orange wires that are under the middle of the radiator appear to be the correct ones for the fog lamps. My problem is the red is hot with 12v all the time even with the fog lamp relay pulled and teh light blue wire has ~ 5.7 volts on it. I'm not sure what is going on. I'll pull the new head light / fog lamp switch and see if the power dies.

Probably just reference voltage via the indicator lamp for the fog lights. If you follow the blue you will see the indicator light works off a different fuse.

The overall circuit varies a little if you have Daytime running lamps or not.

But the switch controls the ground side, the red/org is always hot.

Timd32, Thank You for the information. I thought the switch would do the positive / power. I hooked them up and the fogs are good. The only issue is the Halo's now don't come on unless the fogs are on as then had separate power but needed a ground and it's shared with the fogs. The only way to fix that is to remove the fogs and see if I could isolate and install a separate ground for the Halo's. But thats' for another day
Thank you all for your responses.

If I'm understanding, the halos are in the "fog lights". If so they shouldn't get powered until the fogs do. Assuming the fog lamp/halo is a unit the wiring for halo is reliant on switch that turns fogs on. Could you figure out a way-around, I'm sure but why trouble yourself with this if they're working as designed?
