After many years I've started the slow process of researching the new trucks. Being a Dodge/Ram guy I wanted to start here first. I want a bit more capacity than a 2500, so the 3500 it is. I want a crew cab, long bed, and apparently a dually. I am surprisingly torn on the option of the diesel. I can find a tradesman 4x4 like I want it for low/mid 40s......with the diesel. My concern is that my use of the truck. It would only be for towing or hauling anything from my boat, slide-in, tractors and such. With it not being used on a weekly, or possibly even monthly time frame what issues would I face? I don't always use my old 2500 regularly either, but those systems are much more forgiving. I understand the DEF has a lifespan, what would that be? Thanks for the input.
