Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Looking for more power, suggestions?

Ive only got about 500 to spend and im looking for an increase in power, so i have some questions.



I'm thinking about buying my friends used Superchips Tri-Tune, and buying an installing a set of the bosch ISB300 injectors. My questions are, would EGT's stay in a reasonable range with a combination like this?



Also, is there a better way to make the same amount of power for the same money on the limited mods done to my truck so far?



My truck is a 99 3500 2wd Regular Cab, it has the 5 speed with a 3. 54 rear gear. I have a K&N filter in it with a full 4 inch exhaust, no muffler or resonator.

Probably the best single mod for about $500 is the CaTCHER ECM but you should get the three guages even for a stock truck. Check the thread "What's the #1 upgrade for perfomance. "
