Hi diesel heads!! I am looking to change my injectors and was wondering if any one could shed some light on this. . My2005 5. 9 would like to make 6-700HP ,I am doing this step before any turbo upgrade , what elese should i be looking at,now,to support the injectors and is a "stage3" injector to much?

I think you want to do the turbo first and then the injectors. More turbo and more air will help a bit with the stock injectors and sure won't hurt. More injectors and more fuel with the stock turbo will help a bit but can make more smoke and heat than power.

New LP, CP-3 mods, fuel rail mods, and turbo first then see where your at. The stock injectors are good to around 600 HP maybe a bit more then they are the issue. The rest of the supporting mods will take more $$ than the injectors and contribute more.

would you mind helping me , are you saying that I might want to push more fuel into the cylinders and add boost by more turbo? Would changing the injector nozzle add more fuel ?

Bigger nozzles will flow more fuel to the point where the fuel system cannot keep up. You will need to upgrade the lift pump first to handle more than 400-450 HP then move onto the CP-3 and upgrade it to handle more than about 500 HP.



The turbo is going to start running out of steam around 500 HP also so to go over that and keep things cool you will need an upgrade there.



Once you get to around 600 HP then the nozzles become the restriction and will need swapped out for better flow. You can go ahead and get bigger nozzles now if you so desire and it will help some but you will get to the point where the fuel system cannot keep up faster.



Your choice on how you want to do it. There is really no right\wrong order to upgrade as long as you are careful not to get things too hot or drop the rail pressure and lift pump pressure to the point where its harming things.
