asking for opinions from users of s-jacker softride rear leafs on 3/4 ton long bed - i have a 1500lbs. slide in camper and want to know if the sus will droop with camper on more than it does using oe springs. any input is apprec. russ
I have the 3" wide soft ride rear leafs from Skyjacker on my truck and love em. HUGE inprovement in ride quality.
However... I too carry a 1500lb cabover, but have not loaded it since the suspension upgrade. My feeling is there will be considerable droop without some help in the form of air bags. I had the Air Lift bags on before replacing the rear leafs and remounted them to the frame brackets so I could measure how much taller bags would be needed. I believe a 10"-11" bag will be needed. I spoke with Air Lift tech support before I had measured the needed bag height and the gal on the phone believes Air Life may have a taller bag that will bolt to the existing brackets. I have a new job so it's gonna be a while before I get vaction time to go camping
