I have a problem, I'm looking desperately for the old partnumber of the original fuel modul for my 2004er.
Previous owner retrofitted to the intank pump modul and now i have the known 1/4 Tank problem with my Fass and suction tube.
I want to search for an old modul without pump but after 5 hours of googling I'm not beable to find that number.

Has anyone this number ready or can read it on his fuel modul?
That would be great.

2005+ dont have that problem, they can use the jeep liberty fuelmodul 1to1.

Thanks

If you're still looking for the part number I have some that hopefully will help. I ended up pulling the tag off mine in order to read the numbers.
The tag number is 589AB148420115. The 0 has a diagonal line through it so I don't know if it's a number 0 or a letter o. The last digit isn't clear but seems to be a 5.
There are numbers stamped into the plastic module 4842. There could be a 1 in front of this number but I can't tell, it could be a nick from me removing the tank.
The electrical connector has a tag on it also with the numbers 42351.

Just get the fuel module form Glacier diesel to replace the one you have. Pretty sure the OE part is NS1.

I had Emailcontact with Richard Martin these days, he could not help me because the modul changed to MY 2005, the new one won't fit our tank.
But he was the one that told me that the modul is still available from Mopar but nowhere listed, so he couldn't tell me the magic number.

Ozy, I may have an old parts PDF but can't look till your bedtime. But just thinking and borrow a page from the Mopar muscle car book. It's a cheap trick but the hi performance cars had a large tube fuel pickup sender. We removed the 5/16 steel line that was in our pickup and soldered in a 3/8 line like the hi perf cars had. This worked well. So in your case, why not just take your module and remove the pump? Just put a line in its place? I've never tried, but I'm sure the module can come apart to do this.

Hi Wayne, that is what i have now, removed the Pump and installed a suction tube into the bowl.
problem is that this way the bowl didn't stay full with fuel al the time.
The OEM System is very sophisticated, it sucks more fuel into the bowl then the engine needs so the bowl is always full, with that system working it is possible to empty the tank until it is really completely empty when you run out of fuel.

No with my suction tube I run out of fuel with ¼ tank driving step uphill or downhill. A problem that most of us have with this common setup.
And as you know, I like it perfect, so I need to find an OEM Fuel Modul that was installed from factory in my truck.

that seems clearly like a part number but usually the Letters AB stands on the end of the number. Is it possible to you to make a picture of that sticker? So I maybe can figure out that case?

many thanks to you that you pulls that so important to me sticker.

No no no, that is also one of the conversion module?

other question, how long, which MYs did Dodge use my fuel module, only in the gen3 trucks ore gen2 also?

New Number, 4897668AF, can someone check this for me please?

That is a 2nd gen module.

I am still not seeing the issue you have with the canister. You took the original canister and modded to add a pickup where the fuel pump was, correct? That is the best way to mod it and will not cause 1/4 tank issues. Maybe you have a hole or crack in the suction tube somewhere that is causing the issue when the fuel level drops.

Ozzy, I thought I had your VIN but I can't find it right now. Doing a parts search by year and model on my OEC link that connects to my local dealer I come up with the following...

I missed this thread earlier or I would have got on it for you....

They have one in stock, I can have them send it over for a photo shoot if you want.

Get me the VIN so I can triple check this also.

That canister dont work in 04.5, i did check this with GDP as i mentioned earlier in this Thread.
GDP was the first adresse I contacted because they are real good.

Mike, thank you, ill send you the VIN by WhatsApp.

That is not my understanding, but, your choice. Still don't see what a new canister will fix that the existing one does not. There is little to no difference in the design and where it positions the pickup so hard to even guess that it will make a difference. Has to be another issue if you are having 1/4 tank problems, not the canister.
