Glad it worked out well for you! Mine are missing...didn't even know it...who knows for how long! Do you think they're really necessary?

Well, your truck will run just as good without them. But they relieve the stress on that cheesy metal tube that holds the plastic grille in place. Without it that metal tube racks back and forth when you slam the hood shut and drive over rough roads. Over time the plastic pieces might crack or the metal tube could become fatigued, which will cost you more to replace than having the bumpers in place to dampen the shocks.
