A few monthe ago I ran across an article online about power upgrades for diesel engines that seemed to fly in the face of many of the accepted standard methods of increasing engine power. In particular the article recommeded timing RETARDATION rather than advancing the pump timing and it had a lot of interesting things to say about fuel/air ratios for best power.
This may or may not have been a link I found through TDR - I really don't remember how I got to it.
It's a long one and I read most of it one afternoon before being called to dinner, but I haven't been able to find it again since.
I do recall that it made reference to Mark Chappelle of TST fame and a couple of other familiar names. It cited cases of competitive proof that the ideas it propounded worked.
Does this ring bells with anyone? Can someone guide me back to the article if they know of it and where it is?
