can any body ouy there tell me where i can get michelin tirers i need a seconed pair of them and how much do thay cost i have 265 75 16 2002 4-4 2500 dieselOo.

Try COSTCO, Just purchased four new ones for $169 plus tax, mounting and balancing included, plus I got the Michilin $15 discount.

68K miles, but developed slight wear on one of the front which I did not notice in time. could have gotten maybe 5k more out of them. Very happy otherwise. I swear by Michilin

good grief, man... ... ... . that's a pretty open ended question. first thing i think i would do is open the phone book and look under "T" for tires in the yellow pages... .....

Mail order... prices will depend on whether you have the A/S, M/S, etc.

www.etires.com

www.tirerack.com

www.etire.com

Otherwise I do like the phonebook concept. I had 85k on my A/S and might have got another 5-10k on them, but decided it just wasn't worth scrimping on so replaced them with the same for about $160ea. mounted and balanced from a local shop.

Well it looks like I will need to look for another set of tires some time next spring. . The way these Kirkland(Costco) tires wear I dont see why I bought them... . :D :D :D . The tires have a 60k written warranty and by the time I need to change them. . I should have right at 70k on them. And come to find out Costco does not sell the Kirkland tires anymore because they were getting too many compaints about wear!!

I still have not made up my mind what I want yet. Not sure that I want to spend the extra for the Michelins.

Here's some info on another brand of tire that seems to be good. The only time I've used a product made by this company was on my motorcycle. It was a good product.

Continental Tires has a tire that is real close to the LTX MS Michelin. Its called the Conti Trac SUV . In the 235x85x16 E tire M/S rating it advertises 60,000 miles tread warranty, its 31. 7" tall which is about 3/10's inch less than michelin, 9. 3 tread width, same as michelin, has 14/32" tread depth, 1/32" less than michelin, has a tread wear rating of 520. michelin is 500, Traction A and Temp B, same as michelin. Price at Wal-Mart is 112. 00 each. Michelin 147. 00 each.

I've always used Michelins on my trucks and good lots of mileage. This was interesting since Wal-Mart says the tread wear is for 80,000 in the store. Continental's web site says 60k as mentioned above.

I'm due to renew soon and I'm looking hard at the Continental.

I got 55K out my original michelens. I, then tried Firestones since they saved me $400 for my 3500. BIG MISTAKE! at 25k MILES MY NEW TIRES ARE READY OR REPLACEMENT! You get what you pay for. :(
