I am searching for a few factory rims. Here is what I wish to find/purchase:

1) Set of 4 steel-chrome clad rims from 94-99, 8 bolt 16x7(i think the factory rims are 7 or 7. 5)

2) Set of 2 steel-painted rims from a 00-02, 8 bolt usually grey or black from factory. They will be repainted any way so color is no big deal.

I am preplanning for my winter set of tires. I have two steel grey paint 16x8 that were fastened under the bed as spares on both my 01 trucks.

I am not worried about looks, any other ideas or feedback would be great. Thanks!!

Dave

So you need some new wheels for your new set of wheels? :D

Need some black center caps? (still got a set with your name on 'em :-laf)

I am fixing to pull the chrome steel wheels from my 99 and am looking to sell them for the cost of having some 01 alloys mounted (~$50?). If you're interested, send me an e-mail or PM. I am planning to do the swap at the first of July.

I'm refurbishing the alloys. I've pretty much got them stripped and am starting the polishing process. Once they are polished to my liking, I'll be swapping the tires to the alloys and mounting them up. I've got my rotors turned and am ready to roll there.

Not trying to hi-jack the wheels, but if he doesn't want your steels then PM and let me know. I hate my 01 alloy wheels and love the older chrome steels.

I happen to have the original chrome wheels (and tires) from my '98. They have about 3 years and 60K miles on them. The OEM spare is there, too, and was never used. They've been in storage pretty much since I installed the 19. 5s. Dodgeram.org says they are 16x6. 5.

PM me what they're worth to you. I can transport them to Ann Arbor or maybe closer to Lansing. Or we can arrange a good old-fashioned TDR Relay.

If you happened to have a front chrome bumper with plastic and a grill that'd fit my '98, we'll deal. :)

Zstroken,

No one else has contacted me back about a sale/trade. IF you'd like, i'd be happy to trade my chrome steel wheels straight up with you for the alloys.

Thanks,
Andy

What tires are on them? I have the stock michelins on mine. 265/75/16 Raised OWL. I would prefer to just swap the whole set.

Thanks a ton for the replies!! I am still checking to see what is going to happen. fest3er, we may be chatting about what is to come. Bighammer lives in the same town and was a huge help in the past, and might have something up his sleeve.

I will keep you update and thanks again!!

Dave

PS-The 01 aluminum factory are my favorite, but MI winter salt and grime don't mix to well under those wheel weights and other places. This is why I was after some steel ones.

The help I am refering to was giving me center caps when I had none. These trucks without center caps looks silly in my opinion.

By the way, I'm also interested in buying 1 OEM chrome wheel for my '98 to use for a spare. Appearance not important, but not bent.

Thanks!

- Mike
