Dude... sounds like he is ****** in his description. For self-fabrication like the guy claims, it looks pretty clean especially for an engine that looks like it has to be put in with a shoe horn.

HMMmmm - depending on the actual displacement of that supercharger, it would sure seem that while it could be good at low/midrange operation, it could be a bottleneck at high flow due to being AHEAD of the turbo, choking it's flow capability...



Interesting - but sure must require lots of engine mods for the V8 diesels to live with...

Someone is missing the fact that the 6. 0 PSD has a variable turbo. :rolleyes:
 
Won't work and if you stop and think about it no one out there in the automotive world has bothered to do it. Reason -



1. Parasitic loss of the blower makes it problematic. This could certainly be overcome but... ...



2. If the blower is working properly it would likely cause surging in the turbo (stalling the air flow) and actually increase back pressure negating any boost effect of the turbo. Because the blower is a positive displacement pump the turbo never stands a chance to overcome the blowers push. The turbo then becomes the choke point in the exhaust system.



3. There's a reason manufacturer's chose turbo's over blowers on diesels. The turbo's spool up time is figured into the diesels delta RPM capability and is optimized for the diesel. ;)

It has been done, where there is a will there is a way and any obstacle can be overcome. Pier's has done this on the Cummins and the article is in these forums with pictures (supercharged twin turbo I believe) ;) .



The guy says he does Furd, Maxi's and Cummins in the ebay add.
 
The point AKAMAC is trying to make, is that the 7. 3 was only produced from 94-early03 not through 05 as this person claims.

Gary a few production 7. 3's were put into early MY 04's 650's. I belive that they were stock displacement build. Much like the 03 7. 3's that live today.



The reason for my post was the picture in the "ad" was a 7. 3 and he advertised use in the 6. 0 by inclusion of later MY vehicles. I just thought it funny that he used MY "2005" as being a 7. 3... ... . My humor was lost and I apologize. Mike
