6.7 Cummins into 68 Dodge?

54 F350 Cummuins swap

I lost my transmission with just 95000 miles on the 3500 dually and had to get a complete transmission, used case remained of course. When I got it back I found that 6th gear had a lot of play in it on throttle up/down no other gear has this play, the transmission shop says it's the torque in the trans and that makes no sense to me (isn't there just as much torqued in the others).
My question is should I have that play in a remain trans with 30 miles on it.
Allstate remain

Is that All-State gear in Dallas

My drivetrain has quite a bit of "slop", might be in the transmission, new u joints, new carrier bearing, complete rebuild of the dana 80. I have gotten used to it over the years, try to NOT disengage cruise until my foot has taken over, or on downhill stretches with injector pump at idle, etc. Otherwise i get quite a bit of lash it seems.

BTW, six speed gone through about 140K ago by Standard Transmission, can't recall if mine was like that 22 years ago when new or not.

No that trans should not have a lot of slack
Take the rear driveline down and you should be able to tell where the slop is put the truck in neutral after you get it disconnected put it into 6th and work it back and forth also check the pinion for slop
