OK, this driving me nuts. When driving and hitting some bumps, the door will move up and down and make a noise. I know it's not critical, but it's about time I show this door who's the boss #@$%! and tightern her up. Any advice on how to do that? when I have it open and try to move it up and down it seems tight, don't get it.

A large torqs bit to loosen the catch for the door latch , just loose enough to tap with a hammer , its in a larger hole so tap with that hammer to raise , just a little at a time till the latch starts binding , then back down a little & tighten .

I have this problem as well, only it seems like its the rear door not latching tight enough so the front doesnt either. I can pull the door in tight, but it wont stay there. the rear door moves alot as well. any pointers?

It may be one of the hing pins are worn out. Open door, grab end by jamb at bottom and see if you can lift the dor a bit - if so have someone else to the same as you look at the hinges to detrmine if it's upper or lower. My bet is the lower one will be worn out. I'm sure you can get a new pin and bushing kit to solve this problem - but forget where? Fixinrams may know or have a link to the kit.

I have had this problem on two 2nd gen trucks. I have been replacing the door hinges on both trucks. The top hinge is a pain in the a** to change. I have heard there are pin and bushing kits, but did not find any. I did change the pins on my Moms 98 Jeep Cherokee and had to remove the door and cut the factory door pins before installing the pin/bushing kit.

I took JFaughns advice and played with the catch and it is alot better now. Yeah, I can see how changing the hinges would be a pain, I am sure I will have to do that sooner or later.

Thanks for the Advice all.

I looked at mine the other day, and it seems its the lower latch on the quad door. It seems to have broken inside somewhere and the lower latch does nothing anymore. guess I'll have to tear it apart and see if something came loose or if it is indeed broken.

When you get the door rattle fixed... . Try keeping that door closed for longer periods. Opening and closing the door too often means you are goofing off too much out on the big road! HA-HA!!!:-laf
