2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission loose front end

I have a 2001 with 36000 miles and I noticed that I can turn the steering wheel about 15 degrees before I get any action from the front wheels. I usually drive around town so I didnt notice it much until a trip on the highway. What do I look for and how do I check it. I've heard about the track bar but I don't know how to check for a bad one. Also I think the warranty is up so should I put a whole new one in or get a kit from Luke. What is the deal with this thing. I also have a 91 with a 140000 miles and it is tight as a drum. Thanks Dave

loose steering

is your truck a 4x4 if so check out all the threads on trackbars this may be your problem. If you turn stearing back and forth and can see ball joint on end of trackbar move up and down (this is on drivers side) your track bar is most likely the problem. I had same problem on my 99 4x4 QC.
