So I did the 08 steering upgrade with new steering stabilizer and pitman arm, Dynatrac BJ's and free spin hubs. I had an alignment but the steering still feels "loose" to me. My tires are good shape and only 1 size off stock. Tire presure is good also. Is this normal? Do I need a DSS or something similar? Shadrach

A steering brace will tighten up the steering alot, I would deffenitly get one. Also what stabilizer did you go with? Some of the off the shelf NAPA ones are actually less effective then OEM, unless you have a shake you should be fine but just an FYI. Would also help to put a good PS fluid in there like Royal purple or Red line, my steering was much happier after that.

I recently completed a suspension and steering rebuild also and had a big problem with the steering. The culprit was a loose trac bar bolt. It's always amazing what a single bolt can do! Make sure the trac bar bolts are "cheater bar tight".

Better yet, replace the track bar bushings. I just did the exact same project and was disappointed with the result until I replaced the bushings.
