Just got through my first PITA fuel filter change. Was'nt bad once the master cylinder was moved aside. Here is the question. When removing the o-ring from inside the filter housing the nipple that sticks down was handy. Ready to fall out. I'm surprized it did'nt come out with filter. Anyone else have this happen?

I can't even concentrate on your question after reading the topic! False advertising I'd say. Anyway, ok, I got it now. I haven't seen any loose nipples on my truck (yet) #ad

Yes, mine was loose too. It actually came out in the filter and I pitched it in the trash. When I tried to install the new one I had quite a surprise. Found it in the trash and reinstalled it. I check it every time now.

I've never had a loose nipple in my filter. Next time I change it ,I'll have to check it to see if it has unscewed. I can change the filter on my truck in about 5 minutes without removing anything. Maybe it is because I'm left handed and while standing on a work box, I just lay flat on the fender and reach down to it while balancing myself with my right hand. It's a reach but it is possible!

My first wife has loose nipples and other parts. Reflash didn't help. Uprated to a newer model and everything stays tight now.
