while driving my truck this morning I noticed a clunk as I made right and left hand turns. The turns were slight, such as going around a bend in the road and the clunk could be felt through the steering wheel and the floorboard. For giggles I went to a parking lot and did some figure eights and it was very obvious something is loose. When I got home I slid under the truck and had my wife turn the wheel back and forth and I noticed the bolt for the track bar appears loose and is moving around where the bar attaches to the axle. So, I broke out my very expensive shop manual and it says absolutely nothing about the track bar or what to torque the bolt to. My other concern is that the bolt hole in the axle housing may be "rounded out" so no matter how tight I make the bolt it will still move around.

Does anyone happen to know the torque for this bolt?

Please disregard my above torque spec question. After reading my shop Manuel further I found what I was looking for.

Checked bolt tightness and that is not an issue as they are tight. I am still concerned because I can see the track bar bolt move when the steering is cycled. I am a little discouraged because I never thought the front end on this truck was as "tight and right" as my first 03 was.

Oh well, back to the dealer I guess. :(

I took the truck to the dealer today and after looking at it they are ordering a new track bar. I will also have the reflash performed for the "check gauge" light while it's there as well.
