While driving last night, my CHECK GAUGES light came on everything was fine except the alternator started slowly dropping to zero. I pulled over and left it running. When I popped the hood, I got soaked with oil splatters, then I noticed that the whole underneath in the front end was covered, the underside of the hood, and now myself. I went to shut it off and noticed that I still had plenty of oil pressure. I cracked the throttle a few times and plenty of power, held her at 2500 and the pyro stayed below 300. I shut it off and the leak stopped. When running, it is as if you are slowly pouring oil on the front of the motor, that is how much is coming out. I ran it very easily home and left it as it was 11:30 pm and about 25 degrees. I do not think it it the head gasket b/c there is no water in the oil or oil in the water. , I do not think it is the front main, or the valve cover b/c they are not under a lot of pressure and surely with as much is coming out it would have to be something under pressure. Can someone get me started on where or what to look for? THanks in advance. I guess the plus side to this is now my underside has a rust preventer on it. LOL!
