Need a little help here from the smart guys on this forum, if possible:

While driving my 02 2500 stock LWB 6-speed in town today, when shifting up after a stop at an intersection, I had a sudden loss of power and was unable to accelerate. I downshifted back to 1st, where power seemed normal, then pulled over to check things out. Noted that the malfunction indicator on the instrument cluster was lit, and pulled out my owner's manual to see what it meant (I have only owned this truck for a week or so). Owner's manual says it is emissions related, with no other detail. In neutral, the truck responded normally to accelerator, so I pulled out on the street. The truck intermittently would fail to accelerate through 2nd, 3rd, 4th, but the problem cleared up after a couple of blocks of travel, with me babying her up and down through the gears to keep her moving. Finally, I regained normal power and drove the 30 miles home without further problem. Malfunction indicator remains lit, and code P0633 displays on the odometer. Searching this website, I found an entry that says 0633 is an unused, superfluous code of no import.

I intend to change fuel filters tomorrow, and see what I find (it was supposed to have been changed just prior to my buying the truck last week).

I have no gauges other than stock, and no scanner to check for codes.

Recommendations? Thanks.
