I have a '99 2500, auto transmission with over 300,000 miles, that sometimes will "loose power". It may be from start up from being parked for a while, or driving at highway speeds (not interstate). I've replaced the TPS with the aftermarket from Geno's (easy job) and have changed fuel filter. When this happens, it may "kick-in" after a short time or it may be this way for several miles. I don't have access to a scanner, so I don't know if it is throwing any codes--no CEL, though. It may go several days before doing this, or it may do it several times a day. Some driving times are just a few minutes, and others are up to an hour. I'm in southwest Arkansas. The ambient temperature doesn't seem to affect the problem. If I depress the accelerator to the floor at higher speeds, the transmission will shift into passing, but the road speed doesn't change. Sometimes, the engine will start immediately, and other times I may have to crank for several seconds, or turn switch off and then back to start, at which time it starts like it should. I may have more than one problem, looking for help and suggestions.
