Truck is 2002 with 6 speed.

On going up hills both trucks loose power and can barely make 55 mph,,,need to downshift to 4'th and even third at times,,and power wont come back for a while. on level ground max speed is 55mph

We have changed the lift pump. . then sent to Cummins shop,,they changed turbo boost sensor,,,still no fix,,

Can anyone give me any ideas .

Thanks

Mario

You might try a APPS recal. Accellerator Pedal Posistion Sensor

Disconnect neg posts for at least 30 min.

Reconnect.

Turn key to "On" posistion - not start.

Slowly depress acc. pedal to floor and raise slowly.

Turn off key.

Restart when ready.

If this fixes the problem you might need a new APPS.

When these problems happen and no codes are set - it can be frustrating - trust me.

Worth a try.

Check all 4 rubber sleeves between your turbo and air intake for leaks. The clamps have to be pretty tight.

Other reader recommended spraying each fitting with hair spray to install for lubricity and would later help seal the connection.

A leaking boot would prevent proper boost and top end.

Good luck.
