I just added a GDP intake and and a 4" turbo back exhaust. Since doing so at WOT I have lost about 8 psi. My question is does adding the intake and exhaust add enough volume to cause this drop in psi?

Sounds like a boost leak. Id double check your intake bolts and ensure everythings tight, also check the add on plugs. I had a similar problem of losing about 8 pounds of boost (and my EGT's were 200 degrees higher than normal) after a AD150 install. I didnt install the 2 bolts for the fuel filter housing in the intake mainfold.

God bless,

chris

Where are you measuring?

You should see a slight drop if you were measuring in the horn because the OE horn has the added restriction the psi in the OE horn is higher than the psi in the intake manifold. . the GDP doesn't have that restriction so now your reading manifold psi (Before I moved my boost line from the horn to the manifold I could see 37psi towing, now I am lucky to see 33-34, just shows how restrictive the OE horn is)

I'm measuring from the manifold not the intake horn. I want to thank everyone for the responses am headed outside right now with soap and water to see if I can find any leaks.

Good call. . that makes it sound like a boost leak for sure.

Still having problems finding this leak. since I have the GDp intake horn with the ports in back couldn't I put an air compressor fitting in the back of it and plug off the intake side of the turbo and it would be the same as making a plug for the turbo and pressurising that way?

Yes but it will still vent out through the turbine side of the turbo thus causing the turbo to spin. Limit the time you allow it to do this as it will cause damage without pressurized oil in it.
