I lost all dash gages, speed, fuel, temp, etc. , and the ABS, air bag and fuel lights stay on. ???

Can not find any bad fuses.

Can any one help?

Thanks in advance,

Terry

Yes, they all look o. k. I am away from home and do not have my tester, but can not see any signs of bad ones.

Thanks,

Terry

There is one fuse which controls all that stuff, it's in the access panel on the side of the dash (visible when you open the door).

Did you check those?

I did check the fuses in the side panel and they are O. K. After a little more checking I am getting power to some of the gages because when I turn on the key they come up to "0" point , except the fuel, but will not read any thing when truck is started and no tach or speedometer reading. I have been having problems with the fuel sending unit again and I wonder if they could be related? I guess that I will have to take it to the DEALER. How I hate to do that! Also the odometer is flashing on and off. On the 1998's it is digital.

bad sender problem

You might try unpluging the sender unit to see if it will give back your gauges! You also might try looking under the fuse area and uder the dash for a loose wire or hot crispy one!

Well I called the dealer today and got an appointment for this morning. Took the rig in and the tech hooked up his test equipment, went back and started the truck and everything went back to normal! All gages were working! :D

Well they were good enough not to charge me, but the tech, after he took the rig for a test drive ask "what did you do to the diesel?"

"turn up the pump?" :D :D :D

Thanks to all who tried to help, I just hope that the problem is gone for good and will not return.

thanks

Terry
