While backing into my spot at work last night the brake pedal completely froze. Kind of like somebody welded it solid. I also discovered that the Exhaust Brake no longer worked. The brake light was on as well as the ABS light. I went back out when I had a little bit of time and started it up. Still the same with no E-Brake. Looked under the hood for a disconnected or broken vacuum line but couldn't find anything. After a while the E-Brake started working again. When I left worked the ABS and brake light came on when I was idling various stops. The E-Brake still worked, and the brakes functioned. When I got to the shop where I do all my work it was working fine. No lights at idle and I couldn't duplicate the solid pedal. Hooked up the Vacuum gauge and had 26in/hg @ idle. Is it a good indicator that my Vacuum pump is on its way out? I know they are expensive, and I think I have seen something about rebuild kits on here. I have to search around. I will test it again later when it is cold. Truck has 190,500 miles on it.
