2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission lost int/cargo lights and stereo,fuses good?

Opened up my glove box today and the switch for the light just popped out in pieces,so I went to unplug the rest of the switch so the light would not stay on and it sparked,the interior light went out and stereo shut off. I checked all fuses and they are fine. Had my onsite mechanic check them all,even the power box under hood ,and they all have power... no biggy with the lights,,,:{ BUT I NEED MY COUNTRY MUSIC :{ please help

It is the one fuse with that little protector over it. . number or the one labeled "IOD"... try that.

Chris thanks-thats the one can you hear the twaingin nowOo. . musics backOo. . . so what is IOD anyways. I didn't check that one thinking it was for an important component. WAIT!!the sterio is important!!!!!THANK YOU CHRIS!!!!

No problem Brother. . When I was trying to hardwire my bird dog to the Overhead console, I blew that fuse... I thought the same damn thing, and felt so dumb when I look at all fuses, EXCEPT That one... Now you know which one the stereo is wired to!!!

Why would they put that cover over it anyways if it goes to sterio/lights,kinda dumb. Yes I felt like an idiot too after you told me about it. no need to reply,just thanks again,gotta go crank some Alan Jackson,POP-a-TOP ,ya know that one??Oo. maybe you could reply,are you going to Muncie in June?

I doubt it... I am saving my off days for 4th of July, and also for snow skiing in the winter... I get no vacation till memorial day, so that sux... i had the same problem. i tested all the fuses (except the ones under the covers)



IOD you ask? = Ignition OFF Draw

or what needs power when the ignition is off... dome lights and radio memory

Let me tell you, I just subscribed to TDR a couple months ago and it is amazing. I had the same problem, no interior lights and no stereo. Checked everything except IOD. Thanks everyone. Can't do without WBEE in Rochester, NY it's our only country station!
