On the way to the station this morning I stopped to get bacon and eggs at the store; when I cranked it back up the truck took awhile to start back up. Started down the road and could not get it over 65mph. Lost the power like it is not getting the fuel. Help!!! This is my new truck it is a 97' 12 valve.

AS a I am sure many will chime in..... I would first check your shutoff solenoid, and make sure it is pulling all the way up. For me it is easier to take the linkage loose and move the lever and start and run truck to see if that is the problem... Good luck, and Merry Christmas, Marc

Checked your intercooler boots for one slipped off? Isn't there a boost line, like the afc tube on the VE, from the p-pump to cylinder head, that is known for rubing a hole in ?

I dont hear or feel any leaking air when I get the turbo going. It is acting as if the rack is frozen and not moving. Is this a early sign for a rebuilt pump.

As mentioned before, check to make sure the shutdown solenoid is all the way up. If it is't, it won't allow for enough fuel. Either a problem with th solenoid, or the linkage needs some lube to free it up.

If that doesn't do it, check to see if the boost line going to the AFC housing on the top rear of the fuel injection is not pinched or cut. If it isn't seeing enough boost, it will hold back the fuel.

One other thing, when was the last time you changed the fuel filter?
