Competition fuel additive

Off Roading Dana 60 how many spline

I went to the track a couple of weeks ago. The first past in 2wheel drive I spun the wheels all the way to third, about have track and almost in to the wall for a 19. 20. The next time in 4wheel drive, with a boost lanch I ran 15. 10. something is wrong. At the same time I pulled at Perris 7500 class i got third at 235ft.

You need a lock-up switch or a lock-up controller. Also I don't know if the 2000's have the defuelling problem in 1st and 2nd gear, if they do a BD-RAD will help you out. Depending on your tire size and rear end you should be running low 14's to high 13's

Paul

I agree there's something wrong. A lock up switch is only good for about 2-3 10th's so there's another problem. Where I dont know. Just for a point of reference I ran 14. 82 stock with a comp and DTT. See sig for other stuff

Sounds like some Track Technique is needed.

Spinning all the way into third gear and almost into the wall?

Not only does spinning your tires not get you down the track quickly, it pulls up the trac-bite, letting the racers after you frown because the trac is losing it's bite.

As soon as the wheels start spinning you need to lift and try maintain th edge of traction,, just a "howl" (not spinning) from the rear tires will do great.

How many pounds of boost did you launch with ?

How is the truck shifting? When is it locking up?

What boost are you running?

Merrick

A BD-RAD is made by BD power, the RAD stands for "Racers Anti Defuel" If you can build 25lbs of boost to launch with then you definately don't have a defueling problem.

My 60' was 2. 358. Both turbo and injectors are Bullydog

That's the problem.

With an HX-40 and DD's 200HP injectors, I was running a 14. 3-14. 4.

BullyDog's injectors are known for not getting advertised HP, make lots of smoke, and alot of EGT. The turbo is probably OK though.

I would see if you can get somebody to swap you some injectors, something like a Mach 2...

That's my take on the ordeal... .

(What EGT are you seeing?)

Merrick

What ever do you mean Merrick? Bully dogs are way under rated. All of that aside, I got a 14. 4 in 2wd, no boost, and not locking up the t/c, just stomped on it when the 2nd yellow came on. I also have 355's and 33's but I launch at about 12-15psi and I can get in the 13. 8's at about 98-98. 5mph. You should definately have a better '60 time in 4wd I would think. On the other hand I was a little dissapointed in my times the first couple of runs I made in 4wd. It took a while to get used to driving the truck on the track, mostly experimenting with the l/u switch. Also, Rhonda told me to YANK my foot off the brake when you go and that helped a ton in the '60. Hope you get it figured out.

Good Luck,

Adam

P. S. FYI the guy I sold my old PDR 40 to went from a trap speed of 93-94 to 99. 5 mph when he went to a KSB1!!!

Yeah your 60-foot is terrible. I pulling 1. 82 stock just and edge comp... .

There miht be something wrong or you just need more track time

The HX-40 should be ok. It's hurting him, but not too much.

I think the injectors are what's screwing him the most.

They aren't actually 100HP. They are RATED 100HP.

I have a $10 bill, but I like to RATE it at $20 when my g/f needs money :D

Make sense?

Is your COMP a DRAG Comp? If not, that might explain the good pulling number, but the sucky track number.

Merrick

I wouldn't expect a good 60' if the tires are up in smoke.

I don't think 100hp injectors are enough to get a good spool-up with a hx40 turbo. Of course this isn't an issue if the tires are smoking.
