Has anyone experienced a high pitched droaning or harmonic sound when you are going up a grade and pulling a trailer?

My truck is a 2003 short bed 3500 Cummins with regular rear end.

Any help is appreciated.

I have a high pitched "howl" (not the typical whistle) from the turbo. I thought it might be rear end, but it's related to turbo RPM and not gears. Maybe from the removal of the big X in the intake?

I JUST HAD MY REAR END CHANGED ON MY 2004 RAM QC LB DIESEL DUE TO A LOUD GROWL AT 35 AND AGAIN AT 70 MPH. TURNED OUT TO BE THE PINION GEARS WERE NOT MATING PROPERLY WITH THE RING GEAR. NOISE STARTED AT 2500 MILES AND GREW LOUDER AND FINALLY I HAD IT CHANGED UNDER WARRANTY LAST WEEK.

Nope mine did it with the stock setup and now with the AFE.
