LOUD ticking noise at idle

At idle, I get a loud ticking noise about every second. At first, it did not do it all the time, now it does, only at idle. It's a HO with at 48RE, built Jan. '03, and now has 10K. I'm about to take it to the dealer to have them evaluate it. Any suggestions or otherwise? Truck runs wonderful otherwise!



The only other problem I've has is a hole in the driver seat back.



Yes, I've searched the webs site and it does not quite sound like the noise I have.

At idle any particular injector fires just over 6 times per second (or once every 0. 16 seconds) so it doesn't sound like an injector noise.



I suspect something with the fan belt since it probably makes about 1 revolution per second, or an accessory.
