Loudest Intake?

Im looking for the intake with the most available turbo shriek Anybody tried some different intakes? Definately want maximum whistle:-laf I'm running an 06 3500 dually straight exhaust to dual stacks, got an edge juice with attitude on order.

Sounds like a sweet setup, I ordered the parts, we'll see how it turns out. Great thread by the way, took forever to read but very informative. Do you have the whistler on your truck and if so are you happy with it?

No, I don't have it. I like the closed stock box because it supposedly helps keep intake air temp down. Good luck!

buddy of mine has a gutted tube, no silencer, and a K&N drop in in his mega cab, and I was very surprised at how loud it is!



I run a 6" AFE race filter on my 98. it's loud

I am interested in the loudest turbo whistle using aftermarket intake kit. Don't want to custom build it. Which kit using dry type filter is the loudest. Thanks for help.

Dumb question, but do the '06 have a turbo silencer ring? If so, get rid of it. The AFE intakes make a ton of noise, I love mine.

the key the whistle is the silencer ring and a adjustable wastegate bypass . mine sounds like a mack truck. silencer ring mia, afe filter, adjustable wastegate bypass

Yes 06 has silencer ring. I removed that now want intake and exaust, thanks for intake info rkressg.

is the the race afe the one with the concave filter end. I have the proguard 7 for the winter time looking for something else for summer. the race should be a little louder than what I have.
