Hello TRD dudes,

Is anyone going to the BIG TRUCK SHOW at the end of the month? :p

I will be attending, as usual. Oo.

I look forward to the trucks, music, old friends, stuff, & of course some lovely ladies who always seem to be there. The Peterbilt ladies are the best! :D

Let me know if you are going. The bride & I usually go to the StaR dinner, followed by the free concert. :-laf

I'll be there Friday and Saturday. We should all get together down there. I've been meaning to start a thread on it in the General Diesel forum to see if I could spark more interest.

I think I'll do that now!

It looks like I'll be making the trip. Since I'm a first timer, how much time should I set aside to see everything? Can I see everything on Thursday/Friday? Still trying to find a place to stay. Everything in the area is booked.

Is there a central place, that everyone could meet? It'd be nice to get together with everyone.

Paul

Paul -

1 day is more than enough time to visit all of the vendor booths in my opinion. You'll be so tired of walking that you probably won't want to go back the next day anyway! :-laf

I got there on Friday last year, which I will have to do again this year and all of the show trucks were gone except for the winners.

So if they're doing it like they did last year, you're gonna have to be there Thursday to see all of the show trucks.

I started a thread in the General Diesel forum too so be sure to keep a check on it as well.

Paul,

I'm going down on wed. to stop at Todd's puller shop for some testing & info. He is in New Albany.

I see the KW booth#2 for the free tickets first thing. From there I go see the new trucks & stop at Western star for their free dinner tickets. Oo.

I usually see the New trucks after that. Then venture outside after hours on thur. for the show & shine photo ops. :D

On friday we trip thru the remaining 2 halls to see whats new. :-laf

by fri afternoon the place starts to fill up, quickly. :)

We manage to get to Star for our dinner time. we eat & enjoy the music till its time to go to the concert.

If we come back sat. its just for the O-O visits, [ I'm the grey haired & grey bearded fellow with the pretty lady usually dressed similar] & more outside stuff. :(

The crowd gets heavy after that inside. Plus, your feet wear out after all that. :(

I would try the www.truckingshow.com lodging info button.

Then I would try the Bed & Breakfast area for some nice places.

Last but not least, I go into the south entrance before the noon opening because the registration is open. Don't forget to preregister for the show.

Almost any magazine has free tickets to get in. I'll bring one for you if you want.

Email or pm me for any other details. Or give me a call.

On the $$$$$, I plastic everything so I rarely take more than eats money for the bride & I.

Heavy Hauler,

What day are you going to be there.

Do you plan anything as a group ? Oo.

WAYNES WORLD

I would love to get together as a group to at least say I met a few TDR members from several states away. We don't have to do anything more than that as far as I'm concerned but I'm up for anything.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way that I'll be able to make it on Thursday. I'm gonna leave late Thursday night and be there when the doors open Friday. Depending on what's left, I may go back over there Saturday. But I'll be in Louisville Saturday at the very least though.

We're staying at the Country Inn & Suites right across the street from the Expo Center.

Paul - if you don't mind driving around 10 miles to get to the Expo Center, I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Sheperdsville, KY last year. It's really nice in an uncrowded, country-like suburb of Louisville. I would try and call them to see if any rooms are left.

BTW, has anyone gotten their ID cards in the mail yet? I registered months ago and they were supposed to mail them out around the first of March. No sign of mine yet.

I just looked at the registration page, because I had not received mine yet, and it says that you should get them by the 21st if you registered before Mar 9.

Steven

I posted on the other thread, but I will be in the Air Werks booth with the Scheid Diesel Motorsports Top Diesel Dragster. Stop by!

Guys,

For those going to the show who may not have a room.

Go to www.truckingshow.com or call 1-800-743-3100 or 502-561-3100.

It is my understanding that there are some rooms still available. ;)

See you all there say at Cummins booth 1PM for bench racing, etc :p

todt061458,

Tod,

You can stop at the Cummins Store in Columbus, In. They have all sorts of apparel you can buy. I picked up my 2' Dodge / Cummins mud flaps there that are on the back of my pick up truck.

The bride & I will be at the Ramada just south of the fair grounds. If we don't catch up at the show, come on over. ;)

Also, thanks for the weather update. I'm doing my sunshine dance as soon as we get there. :-laf
