Newbie tire fitment questions. Help!

Check out my "Powerful" louvered tailgate. The tailgate was so plain I just had to 'spice' it up. Mod has to be good for 50HP!

I put it on the left so the driver behind me maybe could read it.

Cool. Cheap power upgrade!

What brand of tailgate is that? Does it match the shape of the body pretty well? I'm in the market (before I completely destroy a good stock gate)

Thanks

you poor guy. you got the inferior black tailgate. It only gives 35 hp. The white model is good for 50 hp. the ultra rare silver color is 62. 3 hp. :D

I also have some fine ocean front property in Nevada for sale.

If CA keeps mudsliding away, NV will indeed be ocean front!

Or, just wait until the "big one". Death Valley will be an inlet from the Pacific Ocean...

Brand - can't remember. I used the box to send off an older tailgate I had. It is Made in America and sold by JC Whitney. It is stronger than the $300+ I bought at the RV dealer several years ago. Only deficiency I see in it is the latch release. It is a pull cable. Accessing the latches themselves are easier to release than using the pull cable. I am going to remove the pull cable. I weigh about 250 and can walk on the louvers without moving or bending them.

Shape matches good enough for me. I like the STRONG mandrel bent tubing that is strength to the unit. No flexing.

Hey Jumbo Jet,

Thanks for that info, and for posting another Pic. Nice looking gate. Gotta make the purchase pretty soon myself.

Vented tailgate are great even if you don't have a 5th wheel. I used my full time on my 95 Dodge/Cummins dually. Since I now have a new Dodge/Cummins dually, the chrome vented tailgate won't fit, so it's for sale. Fits all 2nd gen Dodge Ram

Grizzly,

Sharp crome plated gate. Unfortunately won't fit my III Gen.

?- Who makes that gate? or did you plate it yourself.

Would be nice to look into possibly a newer style gate.

thanks

not bad

u know another one that adds a ton is the pink dice i installed mine and have loved it every since day one.

I also heard that a good thing for those ford guys is they actually remove the hood emblem from a dodge and put it on their fords and that makes a huge difference so i'm told.

BSchulte, I don't know who make it, but I bought this one at Suburban RV Center in Albuquerque. Your right, it will not fit a 3rd generation, that's why I'm selling it. Suburban does have one for the 3rd generation. I do not have a 5er anymore, so I don't need one. If you'd like I can find out who make it (3rd gen) and if it's available in your area, Osceola, Wi. Grizzly :)

i thought about the flow thru tail gate but found that a BatterBuilt V bos gave the same HP increase and held more.
