rattle?

I finnaly got the truck I have always wanted,

99' Cummins Ram 2500 4x4 log bed, quad cab, 5 speed

I love it

I started poking around the internet for performance diesel sites and I came across this site. Man am I glad I did, well see a day before I was going to work and I started my truck and it idled for a second then stalled and would not start up again, well luckily I used to be a heavy equip mechanic for United Rentals and I know diesels. I was pretty sure I must have had some air in the system, so I started to bleed the injectors... well I could not get any fuel to purge so I took my other car to work and checked this site out for people that might have had similar problems, after a quick search I was pretty sure I had a lift/transfer pump problem, a quick call to my local diesel parts house and I picked up a new pump for $150 had it in after a few miniutes and it fired right up. After reading up a bit more about the VP44 pump and Its cost I am glad I got it taken care of right away. All thanks to the other Cummins owners out there on this site.

I can't wait to get my lift for this truck as well as a few performance goodies.

I did just finish building my 4" exhaust last week and Wow, nice improvement.

Thanks

Jonathan

Let me be the first to give you a good ol fashioned. .

WELCOME!

Keep an eye on that injection pump. If it's been suffering from low fuel pressures for a while it may cut down on it's reliability. The fuel pressure helps keep the injection pump cool.

But you probably already knew that. ;)

Welcome aboard.
