I use the Murphy gas all the time. Around here you can use the Wal Mart gift card for the 3 cents off. Cash price is usually pretty close to competitors. Put a couple hundred on the gift card and can get maybe 50 gals of gas and diesel. That saves us about $1. 50 for our $200 gift card in a matter of days. That same $200 in checking = 2 cents, savings = 12 cents. My wife and I go to Wal Mart all the time so to get the gift card takes a half minute longer and I can by a couple of extra candy bars with the savings.

I've got news for you guys: it doesn' matter who you buy fuel from, unless you get a cash discount, you're paying EXTRA for using a credit card. Fact is, unless they have a cash discount, EVERYONE is paying the extra percentage. In reality, the places that charge a lower price for cash than credit are MORE fair than the ones who don't, because they're not OVERCHARGING for people paying cash.

Yep. Pretty much. Auto or big truck. Doesn't matter.



Also, the "J" now charges 9 cents/gal using a Visa, but 6 with the others. Has to do with Visa and their service fees. For a while, to use a Visa, you had to go through crap by charging up a "J" gift card with the Visa. Royal PITA that was.

Yep, that's what we do. I charge $300 at a time on my credit card to the Wal-Mart gift card so I'm really paying with my Visa credit card. I pay the credit card in full each month... no interest charges.



When we travel, I carry a list of the Murphy stations selling diesel fuel and use my GPS to find them. Since I haul a slide in truck camper and don't tow anything, the car pumps are not a problem.

How do you get around the minimum of 2400 gallons total to use Pacfic Pride??. When I tried to get an account there(one is right around the corner from me)the marketeer turned me down due to not using enough fuel... ... Andy

Amazing here, Loves is still at $4. 59 two other local stations dropped to $4. 25 a week ago and 30 miles away the whole town (all 3 stations) are at $3. 99. Tell me Loves isn't making plenty of money on diesel!

My Walmart does not have diesel so that don't work. I think sooner or later all will be posting different price for credit vrs cash. I think it was 1 years ago at a Flying J in St. George Utah they would not even accept Visa at that time. Not sure if it is true now though and whenI asked the clerk she had no idea why.
