Low Battery Cuttoff switch

Does anyone have any experience with Low Battery Voltage cut out switches. I am looking to put one on a trailer so when the inside 12 volt lights are left on it will disconnect the battery to leave enough reserve to start the genset. Was wondering who makes products like this and anyones experience with them.

Only problem I've had is PriorityStart!® unit disconnecting the batteries when the truck was running. Power inverter dropped the battery voltage.

Yeah, I installed one in my Peterbilt hooked up to the bed warm pad, it cut out at 11. 5, worked fine, came out of florida, but now I believe there is several, one of which you can select the voltage you want it to cut out at. (built by a trucker, I saw it in Landline Magazine (OOIDA''s Publication (an owner operator pub)

Unfortunately I don't have any names of brands or prices for you. I think that one that I bought was around $50 plus shipping.

I believe what you are looking for is a "battery protector", by Priority Start. I found that "AW Direct" offers two

model's, a "standard", and a "professional series". It sound's like the professional series is what your looking for.

Part # BD-13, (aw direct number). These are also widely used in law enforcement vehicles. AW Direct can be found at www.awdirect.com
