With BDII's and PE/EZ set on the middle jumper,and boost elbow, I,m only seeing a high boost of 20#, +/-... . I checked all the clamps, they were loose from the factory,everything else seems normal... . Been reading all the posts, and it seems like I should be getting closer to 32-35 ?... Any ideas? I do know the 01 autos have the "sampler" size turbo... Is that the problem. . Can I change over to the ETC housing, or do I have to use the complete assy... ... Sorry to ramble, but I,ve been bitten by the BOMBing bug, and I can't get up... .

I've seen clamps that looked good but leaked under 25 psi load. The only way I found them was to build a tool to use shop air to pressure up the system pound by pound until it leaked.

Re: Wastegate plug, I pulled the solid line out, took a poprivet, and pulled out the pin. . than squezzed the end till it passed the same amount of air as the boost elbow, than inserted it onto the end of the pipe and put it back into the housing. . kinda stealthy. . I don't seem to have any air leaks, the guage is new, and no kinks in line. .
 
Well I found the problem. . It seems that my stealthy approach was, EEEEEK, a failure, there, I said it... So I took the "Jed Clampett" approach, [Not dissing you, zman], and used the turnbuckle system. . WOOOOOHOOOOO,I now have 34-38 PSI, and lovin' it. However, I installed the VDO guage, which only go's to 30#. . You should hear this thing rattle...

Got to love the sound of our little turbos singing there hearts out at 38 lbs.....

I think this is a bit much for them and I read that they loose there efficiency at 32 lbs. I have decided that the little turbo has done it time and will be retired to the shelf with the air box and origional injectors... HX40 time.
