Recently I have been paying attention to my boost readings, I have noticed I peak at 33 lbs. this is with the Juice on 0 as well as up to 5. There has been no decrease in power that I can feel, smoke output is normal, little to none on the low levels and impressive on 4 and 5, the truck has never stumbled and it idles well except for one time about three weeks ago there was an excessive vibration for about 30 sec. just after startup. I have also noticed that intermittently I have to crank a little longer but not very prolonged. Air filter is clean, fuel filter changed. Lift pump? I ran an EZ for about three months after I got the truck but never on anything but level two, Relief valve? Never any trouble codes. Do I have a problem that needs investigating or is this not that abnormal. Of note all of the max boost readings were obtained by rolling into the throttle WOT starting in third and so on on entrance ramps. Would I make more boost in different conditions?

Thanks, Jay

???

Anybody have any suggestions? I have seen members with similar setups post values of 38-40, I am making a homemade boost leak detector tomorrow, please let me know if I am outside of the norm. thanks, Jay

By the way those values I attained were with the backdown set up to 80 psi so as to avoid any backdown by the box.

I have an 04. 5 with electronic wastegate controlled with the ECM and Edge. I raised the boost limit to 85 so as to not defuel and the trans slip is off. I have never seen in excess of 33-34 which I can hit and maintain as long as I am in the throttle, mpg is great. Does this sound more like fuel issue or boost leak???? Please help i should be able to hit at least 38, I fear this may be an indicator that not all things are right.

All hi pressure ducts look good and no obvious leaks although I didn't pressurize it thought I would check fuel side first. Talked to Wade this pm and pulled the banjo bolt on the relief valve, very little if any fuel welled up in the valve and there was no spurt or spew with revving the engine. I did have a constant flow, more than a dribble from the line going to the cp3. I ordered the rail pressure gauge. What do you think, normal flow from cp3, do I need to quanitate it, wait and check rail pressure, ideas?????? Truck runs fine, no codes just can't get above 33-34 boost.
