Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Low Boost

Had a problem driving to CA. Anytime I tried to accelerate my boost would not go over 20 lbs. ( 40 lbs. normally) it would hesitate and it actually felt like my truck would slow down. Drove fine when not getting on boost.

Change yer fuel filter. Sounds like the motah's not got enough to eat.

If the low boost is accompanied with low EGT's, it is probably limited fueling as already indicated. If, however you have higher than normal EGT's, look for a boost pressure leak, especially around the clamps that hold the rubber tures to the manifold and turbo.
