Low DEF warning light is not on but gauge is in the red zone. Truck will be used very little this summer and hate to add DEF that "might" go bad in our hot summer weather. Was wondering if I could just drive it till the light came on and then add DEF. This is assuming there is a decent window to add DEF after the light comes on and before it derates. I assume it would eventaully derate.
How much fluid do you have left when the Low DEF Warning Light comes on??
Assume the number of miles you could drive after the light came on would be variable depending on usage such as solo driving or towing.
Thanks in advance for any responses
