Kept having problems with low/no heat. Flushed my heater core yesterday & found that it was mostly full of air. Made a flushing adapter from some parts from Lowe’s (last pic), and added brass/stainless valves while I was working on it all.
Finally found that the quick disconnect coupling (which is not true) going to the heater core supply side was leaking and needed to be replaced. Found for $15.99 at Oreilleys. Part number is 800-416.
I will be looking in the future for a better adapter/fitting than the plastic quick disconnect.

This is the second time I’ve found air in it. Everything is plumbed correctly also. Water pump is relatively new also. Wondering if maybe the air could have been from the hose, and maybe there was an obstruction in the core. Either way, it’s working great now!
