Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Low mileage, New powersteering pump

well i've got 28,500 miles on the truck. as i write this, it is sitting at the dealership getting the door for my sunglass holder replaced (broken tab) and it is getting the powersteering pump replaced. has anyone else had problems with their powersteering pumps with low mileage like mine or is it just bad luck? i did cross through some deep water the day before it started making noise (pushing water with the grill, flooding here in florida)

These pumps are junk. Won't last with oversized tires.
