Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Low mileage...

Here is a thought... We are all amazed at the high mileage these trucks get... and at the rate I put on miles, I'll be too old to drive when I get 150,000 . I commute about 500 a week in a little Escort and save the "Big Boy" for the fun stuff, camping, fishing, or just weekend errands. It stays in the garage polished, full of fuel and ready to GO...



Who has LOW mileage???



Mine is a 1999 with a little over 50,000 miles...

1999 with 38000. It is only 9 miles each way to work and we use the wifes Dakota for errands. The 4 year lease is up in August so I guess I will have to buy it now. I sure would not want to start all over again with trans. mods etc. Besides I want to keep my Real Trucks Rattle Shirt

I work with a guy that has a 96 reg cab 4x4 with 17000 miles on it. It looks like new when he does drive it. Jeff

I bought my 99 to only pull my 5th wheel. Presently it only has 32,000 miles of which 27,000 miles have been attached to the trailer. It is a 4X4 which has never seen any mud or snow. Great Truck, sits in the garage until the next camping trip.

A little over 53,000 miles on my 99, it is our only means of transportation. I walk to work!!
