I'm a newbie to posting and being a member, so here it goes. I've had my truck since Sept. last year and have recently done some upgrades to it and I'm happy with them. The only thing now that I'd like to get is better MPG's. I've been averaging about 15 in town and highway. I'm thinking that this cold wheather has something to do with it, since I live in the frozen tundra, it seems like. I would appreciate any replies to this. thanks a bunch , Scott

Welcome Scott!

You didn't mention your model but 15 mpg is within the normal range. Winter fuel has lower energy and you may pick up 1-2 mpg when #2 fuel is available again.

As far as increasing mileage for a given fuel, driving habits (big item), valve and injection pump timing are pretty much all you can do.

just figured out the prefrences on my sig. I'm trying to drive normal (sometimes hard to) to see if i can get better mpgs. My pump timing is stock as far as I know, and I havn't done any pump mods either. Has lots of bananas the way it is. I can only get about 850 deg. at wot, unloaded and on a decent hill. Maybe thats a good thing. thanks for the reply, Scott

I'll try it again
